About The Position

Stryker is a leading medical technology company focused on making healthcare better. The company offers a wide range of innovative medical technologies in orthopedics, medical and surgical, and neurotechnology & spine. This role is for the Empire Region, which includes NYC, CT, and NJ. As a Regional Manager, you will lead a sales team in a fast-paced environment, driving them to achieve sales goals. You will strategically plan and direct selling activities, focusing on hiring, training, and developing sales representatives. Collaborating with the Director of Sales, you will execute strategies to maximize regional sales and exceed targets, all while staying committed to Stryker's mission of improving healthcare through innovative products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years in sales with a proven history of success.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales field concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing sales programs.
  • Proven experience in formal leadership roles or in leading teams and projects in various settings strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee sales activity and productivity standards, territory management, schedules, and time management for the sales team.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop sales professionals.
  • Conduct quarterly sales training sessions and individual performance reviews.
  • Review and analyze sales data and commission reports.
  • Manage the target pipeline lists and ensure alignment with sales goals.
  • Establish monthly meetings with the Area VP Sales to discuss regional goals and status.
  • Initiate strategic communication with Sales leadership.
  • Submit quarterly reports to the Area VP Sales.
  • Regularly communicate with Marketing Directors and Corporate Accounts on strategic selling situations.
  • Foster a healthy competitive team environment and be involved in top Target Accounts and competitive situations.
  • Be accessible to provide daily troubleshooting and strategic discussions with sales team members.
  • Conduct individual meetings for updates and support.
  • Reinforce Stryker Corporate Sales philosophy and culture statement.

Benefits

  • Sales Base + commission: $170,000-$200,000.00 and may be eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses + benefits.
