The Regional Sales Manager represents designated Taylor product lines in an assigned territory, with responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales-volume objectives, achieving acceptable profit margins, and maintaining a favorable corporate image. The role has full accountability for territory sales quotas and goals assigned by the General Sales Manager, while operating within company policies and guidelines. The manager develops the territory, plans their own itinerary and appointments, and keeps the General Sales Manager informed of location, activities, and progress. The role builds customer relationships, assesses customer needs, and presents the advantages of TMW equipment. It maintains sales records and submits order-processing information, assists with financing terms and account reconciliation when needed, and works with field service personnel on maintenance and repairs. The manager may consult the Used Equipment Manager about trade-in values and request Engineering support for special applications or modifications. The position also supplies Sales Management with market and competitive information, product feedback, and field needs; contributes to short- and long-range forecasts; and may help recruit and train salespeople at the General Sales Manager's request. The Regional Sales Manager must know the TMW product line, its applications, and pricing in relation to market conditions. The role requires sales competence, knowledge of competing equipment and material-handling needs, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel throughout the territory almost daily.
