About The Position

The Regional Driver transports fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations, navigating written directions and delivering vehicles—and, in some instances, customers, employees, or vendors—to the appropriate destinations safely and on time. The position is based at 1100 W. Blancke Street, Linden, New Jersey, and pays $16.50 per hour, based on a 25-hour work week. Employees may earn yearly merit increases based on performance. The position is part time, with schedules available on specified weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Enterprise Mobility operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands, along with other mobility and transportation services.

Requirements

Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license.
Authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment-based work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than one hour from the location.
At least six consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
At least 18 years of age.
For first-time drivers under age 21 in New Jersey, completion of the mandatory Graduated Driver License program requirements.

Responsibilities

Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road.
Deliver customers and vehicles to appropriate destinations in a safe and courteous manner.
Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicles or pick up multiple vehicles.
Organize travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
Communicate via two-way radio or cellular phone when needed.
Clean vehicles when asked.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
