About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring a Regional/OTR Class A Dry Van Driver for routes involving Cohoes, NY; Reidsville, NC; and Syracuse, NY, with routes extending to locations including OH, KY, TN, GA, and NJ before returning to NY. The position involves approximately 2,800 miles per week and weekly home time. Drivers average $90,000–$110,000 per year, with compensation including hourly wages for all on-duty non-driving time and mileage pay. Daily per diem is provided for overnight trips, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus is available. The driver operates tractor-trailer units and other vehicles, transports hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and is responsible for safe loading, unloading, and load security. The role requires compliance with health and safety practices, company policies, and applicable Department of Transportation requirements, as well as completing required driving and vehicle records.

Requirements

Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
Ability to effectively use required technology, such as mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

Make health and safety the top priority by following safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
Operate tractor-trailer units and other vehicles.
Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of units.
Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is properly loaded and unloaded, and secure loads properly.
Placard vehicles according to company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
