Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program.
• Must obtain entry level certification and must have a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
• Must have a current Indiana State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners.
• Must have current certification in CPR.
• Must be able to be on call.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS and NRP certifications or obtain in 6 months (Parkview Randallia, excludes Pulmonary Rehab and PFT areas).
• ACLS and NRP certifications or obtain within 6 months from date of hire or transfer (Community Hospital locations).
• PALS and Stable preferred but not required (Community Hospital locations).

Responsibilities

• Provides care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes.
• Provides bedside diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Reviews and maintains respiratory care plans.
• Performs evaluations on patients and adjusts the care appropriately.
• Assists as a preceptor for students and new hires.
