Referral Coordinator
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a professional, customer-service-oriented Referral Coordinator. The role ensures effective, client-focused management of referrals for assigned specialty services and serves as the primary point of contact for referred clients, managing each referral from the originating appointment through case closure. The coordinator also supports clinical staff with the administrative components of clinical referrals. Responsibilities
- Schedule new appointments for assigned specialty services and ensure the relevant DVM(s) have a record of new appointments.
- Resolve case-related concerns before appointments.
- Maintain email for assigned specialty services and follow departmental email triage procedures.
- Gather relevant information so clients understand their financial obligations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and prospective clients in assigned specialty services.
- Conduct post-procedural and post-surgical follow-up calls with clients.
- Receive, process, and fill prescription requests for assigned specialty services with DVM approval.
- Work with primary DVMs regarding requests and routine questions.
- Provide primary care DVMs with bloodwork and test results to keep them informed about referred clients.
- Ensure timely communication regarding treatment and appropriate documentation.
- Support clinical staff with the administrative components of clinical referrals.
