About The Position
Capital City Nurses, a Care Advantage Inc brand, is seeking a Recruitment & Employment Specialist to help build its caregiving team in Virginia. This is an office-based leadership role in Alexandria, Virginia, with at least one day per week required at the Sterling, Virginia office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The specialist leads recruitment, supports caregiver retention and engagement, delivers new-hire orientations, manages compliance and HR essentials, and helps address operational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and connect with people.
- Organized, adaptable, and able to solve problems as they arise.

Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment strategy through job fairs and referral networks.
- Screen, interview, and onboard candidates who reflect the organization’s values of Compassion, Attitude, Respect, and Excellence.
- Launch recognition programs, track turnover, and develop strategies to retain and engage caregivers.
- Deliver orientations for new hires.
- Maintain personnel files, oversee screenings, and ensure readiness for audits.
- Support on-call needs, resolve challenges, and help keep operations running smoothly.
