About The Position

AArete is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented recruiter to join its growing Talent Acquisition team. This role is crucial for supporting the firm’s hiring needs by managing the full recruitment lifecycle for various positions, with a particular emphasis on management and technology consulting roles. The Recruiter will collaborate with fellow Recruiters and hiring managers to source, screen, and efficiently move candidates through the hiring process, ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers. This position offers opportunities for skill development in both early career and experienced hiring, learning best practices for specialized searches, and contributing to process improvements within the recruitment function. The role also provides a chance to understand how Talent Acquisition supports AArete’s overall business objectives and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing People team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (agency or corporate)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong sourcing skills with proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (Jobvite or similar)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel/reporting skills
  • Proven ability to operate independently by managing multiple requisitions, taking ownership of responsibilities, prioritizing effectively, and consistently delivering results on time with minimal oversight
  • Excellent written communication skills with professional formatting, grammar, and clarity
  • Confident verbal communication, including active listening and concise presentation of relevant information
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and judgment in handling sensitive information
  • Demonstrated ability to identify challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to remain composed, resilient, and professional in high-pressure or fast-paced situations
  • Strong team orientation with a willingness to support peers and take on additional responsibilities
  • Ability and willingness to travel to and attend recruiting events as needed
  • Applicants must be based in Chicago, IL, and flexible to work from our Chicago office as needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Partner with fellow Recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, hiring timelines, and sourcing strategies.
  • Manage requisitions from intake to offer acceptance for assigned roles, meeting deadlines with minimal direction.
  • Source active and passive talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals, and other creative channels.
  • Screen candidates for qualifications, experience, and cultural fit using consistent evaluation methods.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews directly with candidates and interview teams, ensuring a smooth, positive experience for all participants.
  • Keep candidates and hiring teams informed and engaged throughout the process, providing timely follow-up and clear communication.
  • Prepare candidate summaries, facilitate feedback collection, and lead or contribute to debrief sessions.
  • Draft and extend offer letters, ensuring compliance with firm policies.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems (preferably Jobvite) and generate reports to track pipeline health and inform decision-making.
  • Take responsibility for data accuracy and proactively suggest improvements to enhance system utilization and recruitment processes.
  • Identify risks and escalate appropriately.
  • Balance speed of delivery with strong process (interview notes, applicant tracking system process adherence, candidate communications, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient, high-quality recruiting operations across the firm.
  • Actively participate in weekly recruiting meetings, sharing concise pipeline updates and relevant market insights.
  • Support onboarding and training of new Talent Acquisition team members, sharing best practices and role knowledge.
  • Build trust and rapport with hiring managers, peers, contractors, and vendors, representing AArete professionally at all times.
  • Seek additional training and mentorship to advance recruiting and industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrate curiosity about industry trends, using correct terminology and aiming to develop subject matter expertise.
  • Participate in AArete activities, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, team-building events, and Operations-wide projects.
  • Exhibit adaptability, integrity, and humility while working across different teams and perspectives.
