About The Position

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking an experienced Recruiter to join their Talent Acquisition team. This role is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and hiring qualified Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other critical positions that support Beacon's residential group homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume recruitment, building talent pipelines, partnering with operational leaders, and providing an excellent candidate experience. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the homes are staffed with compassionate and dependable professionals who provide exceptional care.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of recruiting experience.
  • One to three years of experience in the HR/Management field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
  • Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
  • Ability to use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems.
  • Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing various software programs and applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create professional employee communication materials.
  • Capable of working well with all levels of the organization.
  • A professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work with little daily supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred (in human resources, organizational development, marketing, business, or a similar field is preferred).
  • A background in mental health or healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other assigned positions.
  • Source qualified candidates using job boards, social media, community partnerships, employee referrals, career fairs, and other recruiting channels.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone and virtual interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
  • Extend employment offers and guide candidates through the pre-employment and onboarding process.
  • Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines to support ongoing hiring needs for residential group homes.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and adjust sourcing strategies to meet hiring goals.
  • Ensure recruiting practices remain compliant with applicable employment laws, Joint Commission standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Represent Beacon professionally at hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach activities.
  • Promote Beacon's mission, culture, and employment brand to prospective candidates.
