About The Position

Oriana House Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to join their team. This role is responsible for reviewing applications, pre-screening candidates, conducting interviews, performing background checks, and managing hiring paperwork. The Recruiter will ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates to meet agency objectives and fill open positions. The company is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and a Drug-free Workplace.

Requirements

Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database operations required.
Must have ability to relate well with people and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to multitask and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a driving record that does not preclude the employee from being covered by Agency liability insurance.
Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees and outside contacts.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience working in a Human Resource office may be substituted for preferred bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Reviews applications/resumes for potential interviews and/or hires in accordance with Agency objectives.
Logs, sorts, and files applications for current and future employment needs.
Pre-screens candidates via scheduled phone interviews using standard department questions.
Schedules and conducts first employment interviews weekly as required by current number of open billets to ensure a steady flow of candidates.
Reviews social network sites (e.g., Facebook) for inappropriate media/posts/pictures of prospective employees.
Conducts preliminary on-line background checks.
Accurately conducts and thoroughly documents references.
Schedules and conducts hiring paperwork.
