About The Position

J Polep Distribution Services, a division of National Convenience Distributors, is hiring a Recruiter/HR Generalist for its Chicopee, Massachusetts location. The position reports to the Director of HR and is part of a supportive, energetic HR team. Its primary focus is recruiting and onboarding applicants, while collaborating with the HR team to support and develop employees. The role requires excellent communication skills at all levels of the company. The position is full-time, on the day shift, with no travel. The listed hourly salary range is $24.00–$26.00. The stated education level is high school.

Requirements

2–3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in a light industrial environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assess and evaluate candidate qualifications.
Knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and industry trends.
Ability to negotiate and close deals with candidates.
Time-management skills and ability to multitask.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information and data.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the Paycom platform is preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

Understand hiring managers’ hiring requirements.
Attract candidates through channels such as social media, professional networks, and job fairs.
Create and maintain job postings.
Review resumes and screen candidates.
