About The Position

This role involves partnering directly with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, screening resumes, conducting interviews, administering assessments, and performing reference/background checks. The recruiter will make hiring recommendations, extend and negotiate employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt positions within a designated territory. This position requires expertise in recruiting and utilizing various resources to attract quality candidates, including career fairs, online job fairs, community events, and social media. The role also includes developing advertising programs, managing the internal transfer process, and gathering feedback on the recruiting process. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients is crucial for achieving staffing goals. The recruiter will communicate essential employment information during offer delivery, such as benefits and compensation, and ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations. Additionally, the role involves managing candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS), maintaining application files, and staying involved with relevant professional organizations. Travel is required approximately 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Partners directly with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers and negotiates employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
  • Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates.
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, social media, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry.
