About The Position
The Recreation Supervisor leads the team responsible for overseeing recreational activities and maintaining facilities at Lakewood Country Club, part of the Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa. The role supervises associates, coordinates activities, and helps ensure guests have a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience. The supervisor also resolves guest concerns and helps maintain recreational grounds that offer both excitement and tranquility. Lakewood Country Club offers amenities including a gym, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a family pool with a lazy river and waterslide, an adult pool, and a scenic lagoon. The role supports the company’s commitment to providing “hospitality with heart & soul.”
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests, promote recreational offerings, encourage participation, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Lead, train, and motivate the recreation team; ensure staff follow safety protocols and hospitality standards.
- Enforce safety guidelines for recreational activities, including those involving pool and sports facilities.
- Oversee cleanliness, functionality, and safety of recreational facilities and equipment; ensure equipment is maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
- Organize special events and themed activities in collaboration with other hotel departments.
- Solicit guest feedback, assess satisfaction, and implement improvements to recreational offerings.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to help ensure guests have an enjoyable experience.
