About The Position

The Recreation Assistant, also referred to as an Activities Assistant, helps bring fulfillment and improve quality of life for residents. The role assists with planning and implementing group and individual activities for the geriatric population at CareOne at Livingston (ALF).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a recreation or activities position in long-term care.
• Previous experience with dementia activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and assist with the facility’s activity programs.
• Participate in discharge planning and in the development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
