About The Position

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is seeking qualified individuals for a part-time, temporary, non-benefited Recreation Assistant position for their Fall Camps. This role serves at the discretion of the department director and is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, during the Fall Camp period from September 21 through October 2. The position involves instructing youth, implementing planned activities, and supervising children ages 5-13 during school intersessions. The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, and capable of using independent judgment while managing youth programs.

Requirements

• Some High School
• 1 year of experience in a recreation environment
• A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Nice To Haves

• Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with parents regarding program policies, expectations, and participant-related matters.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced youth recreation program environment.
• A First Aid/CPR Certification is required within 90 days of employment
