About The Position

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is seeking qualified individuals for a part-time, temporary, non-benefited Recreation Aide position for their Fall Camps. This role serves at the discretion of the department director and is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, during the Fall Camp period from September 21 through October 2. The department enhances the quality of life in Chandler through diverse and affordable educational and recreational experiences, creating community through people, parks, and programs. The Recreation Division focuses on innovative events, programs, and services that strengthen community vitality and foster healthy lifestyles. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration, and will be responsible for instructing youth, implementing planned activities, and supervising children ages 5-13 during school intersessions. This individual should be energetic, creative, and capable of using independent judgment while managing programming.

Requirements

  • Some High School education
  • No experience required
  • A First Aid/CPR Certification is required within 90 days of employment
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

  • Experience in a recreational environment working with children
