About The Position

As a Recovery Support Professional at ASAC, you will empower individuals on their journey toward a life free of substance use as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The team provides a supportive environment and uses evidence-based interventions to help patients develop skills for lasting change. The role involves supervising and supporting patients outside treatment sessions, documenting observations, leading educational and skill-development activities, monitoring medication use, conducting urinalyses, supporting recreation and transportation, helping maintain the facility, and following security and confidentiality protocols.

Requirements

• High school degree.
• Genuine desire to help others.
• Stable job history.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to work at least one weekend day per week.

Nice To Haves

• Education in a human services field or experience in a residential treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for patients outside treatment sessions and help ensure their safety and well-being.
• Document observations and maintain accurate patient case files using required forms and protocols.
• Lead skill-development and educational sessions to support patients' progress.
• Securely manage medication storage and monitor patients when they take medications.
• Conduct patient urinalyses according to agency policies and procedures.
• Engage patients in on-site games, crafts, and recreational activities, and transport them to off-site recreational areas when needed and scheduled.
• Transport patients to meetings, appointments, and medical treatments.
• Assist patients in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
• Monitor security systems, maintain key control, and uphold building security protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality as required by HIPAA and 42 CFR regulations.
