About The Position

FlyingHIGH, Inc. is seeking a male Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant to oversee the daily operations of two Recovery Houses and provide a safe living environment for males in recovery from substance abuse disorders. The House Coordinator works with people seeking housing, case managers, and clinical treatment staff to support residents’ success. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday. Compensation and benefits include 14 paid holidays, 80 hours of vacation, 40 hours of sick time, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with match, and other supplemental benefits.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Current, valid Ohio Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant certification.
At least 2 years of experience in sober living home management or in an SUD treatment role.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and clean driving record.
Willingness to complete post-offer drug testing and a civilian background check.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of and experience with ORH certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate occupancy and track openings in the houses.
Review housing applications and determine appropriateness for the residency approval process.
Enforce house rules and residency agreements while overseeing house operations.
Engage clients and establish professional relationships to promote recovery, support resident motivation, and guide residents in establishing or attaining work-readiness, vocational, and occupational goals.
Ensure regular drug screens and house inspections to maintain a sober living environment.
Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with team members to support positive resident outcomes.
Participate in scheduled staffings to foster an interdisciplinary approach and support resident outcomes.
Maintain timely, confidential, and accurate documentation as required.
