Recovery Coach - Community Outreach Specialist (Northern Massachusetts)
About The Position
Marigold Health is seeking a Certified Recovery Coach to join their Community Outreach and Engagement team as a Community Outreach Specialist in Southeastern Massachusetts. This role involves working within the community to enroll new members in the Marigold peer services platform and collaborating with local providers and community leaders. The specialist will connect with potential members through various methods including visits to provider locations, attending community events, and conducting phone and SMS outreach. The ideal candidate is outgoing and passionate about mental health and substance use recovery.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a community outreach role or in healthcare sales.
- Ability to build rapport and make people feel comfortable.
- Working towards or already possessing a Certified Recovery Coach certification in MA.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Confident speaking and writing skills, ensuring clear communication.
- Willingness and comfort traveling approximately 75% of the time.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet people during peak site hours.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Calendar.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work with short timelines.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to find solutions to challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and work towards an important mission.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in healthcare.
- Knowledge of peer services or recovery coaching.
- Experience using technology to improve healthcare.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and attend visits at provider partner sites, community events, and locations such as inpatient treatment centers, methadone clinics, libraries, police stations, and health fairs.
- Inform potential members about Marigold Health’s peer recovery services, assist them in downloading the app, and guide them in starting to receive services.
- Contact potential members via text (SMS) message, cold calls, or mail.
- Promote Marigold Health’s mission to provide peer support to individuals in need.
- Support the relationship between Marigold Health and its provider partners.
- Work towards achieving targets and goals set by contracts.
- Adjust availability to work early mornings and/or evenings as needed.
