About The Position

As a Reconditioning Associate, you help ensure vehicles meet CarMax quality and presentation standards. The role involves hands-on automotive work, tracking and moving inventory, and helping maintain a clean and welcoming environment. You will work with a team to support customer experiences while learning automotive care and inventory-management practices. The position requires following CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and being able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Log and track vehicle deliveries and inventory to maintain accurate records.
• Move and stage vehicles across the lot for optimal customer viewing.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Clean, vacuum, and detail vehicles to meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Learn and apply best practices in automotive care and inventory management.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Benefits

• Paid sick time: up to 48 hours per year, accrued each pay period.
• Paid vacation: 80 to 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service.
• Paid scheduled holidays: 8 hours of pay for each of 6 holidays per year, plus 1 floating holiday.
• Holiday Premium Pay when a full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associate works on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
• Full-time salaried associates receive paid time away as needed for sick time, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays, subject to manager approval.
