About The Position

The Receptionist is an entry-level position and serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and others at the facility. The role helps foster a warm, positive, and inclusive atmosphere and offers an opportunity to learn about long-term care and related career opportunities. This is a part-time position for 18–22 hours per week, with evening, weekend, and holiday work required. Every other weekend is required. Evening and weekend shift differentials are paid, and holidays are paid at time and a half. Pay depends on experience and is listed at USD $17.30–$18.05 per hour. The Pines at Catskill is an affiliate of National Health Care Associates. Requirements

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in using office equipment and computer applications.

Nice To Haves

High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors, residents, and families with warmth and professionalism.
Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Coordinate appointments, meetings, and resident activities.
Receive newspapers, mail, and gifts for residents.
