How you will make contributions that matter... Under direction, this position is an administrative support position for the facility and the human resources department. This position actively supports callers and visitors to the facility, promotes positive employee relations, and supports HR-related activities.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates business maturity and integrity, especially when dealing with highly confidential information.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently.
  • Ability to understand and add value to Saputo’s business.
  • Ability to deliver and execute high-quality and consistent Human Resources processes and services.
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the company, and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and HR Time Keeping Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as first point of contact for employees and visitors, answers and directs phone calls, and responds to general inquiries.
  • Ensures all visitors and contractors follow facility security protocols.
  • Maintains a clean and welcoming reception area.
  • Coordinates repairs and maintenance of office facilities.
  • Sets up and maintains electronic and paper files in compliance with record retention protocol.
  • Supports incoming and outgoing mail and packages and deliveries.
  • Maintains office supply inventory and orders supplies as needed.
  • Maintains plant visitor calendar and helps coordinate meetings, training and events.
  • Promotes positive employee relations by serving as an internal resource for employee inquiries and directing employees to appropriate resources when needed.
  • Enters and tracks requisitioning and receiving tasks in Ariba.
  • Works with AP to set up new vendors and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Maintains attendance tracking spreadsheets, validates attendance point balances, and issues attendance disciplinary warnings in support of attendance policy guidelines.
  • Creates and contributes to employee communications, such as TVs, bulletin boards, and newsletter.
  • Actively engages in positive employee relations through plant walks, attendance at plant meetings, etc.
  • Maintains organization and supply of conference rooms, kitchen, and supply cabinets/closets.
  • Supports internal and external audits.
  • Helps to plan and supports employee events and community involvement.
  • Assists with annual employee PTO scheduling process.
  • Recommends new approaches/procedures in our efforts to streamline processes and reduce areas of inefficiency or redundancy.
  • Assists with various administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Must maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Adheres to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively applies the Saputo Values.
  • Works together professionally in a team environment with co-workers.
  • Supports other departments as needed and performs other duties as required by management.

Benefits

  • Starting pay is $17-21/hour, depending on skills and experience.
