About The Position

Apple Valley Villa, a Cassia community in Apple Valley, Minnesota, is hiring a full-time Receptionist/Caregiver. The role provides front-desk coverage as needed, including greeting visitors, answering and routing calls, completing administrative tasks, and providing customer service. It also includes person-centered care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing and shampooing, and administering medications while promoting residents’ dignity, independence, and well-being. The position is benefits eligible and works a varying schedule, with an evening shift listed from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM. Pay is $17 to $22.85 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• HHA, PCA, or CNA experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service or reception experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• High priority on customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
• Dependable and punctual, with ability to work flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

• Med passer experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing care and services to residents.
• Administer medications to residents as needed.
• Communicate resident concerns to licensed nursing staff.
• Assist during resident emergencies.
• Answer and transfer incoming phone calls and manage calls coming into the facility.
• Greet visitors and guests warmly and professionally, and determine the nature and purpose of their visit.
• Direct or accompany visitors and guests to the appropriate destination.
• Perform typing assignments and miscellaneous clerical duties for departments as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as requested.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and shampooing, while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
