About The Position

Perform an array of warehouse functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, or managing, organizing, consolidating, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The position is located in Hammond, Indiana. Salary range is undisclosed.

Requirements

• One to two years of warehouse-related experience in shipping and receiving.
• Excellent work ethic and the ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Strictly observe all safety rules.
• Experience operating warehouse machinery such as a sit-down lift, cherry picker, or reach truck.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10–50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 pounds with proper lifting equipment.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit and climb or balance.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading trucks and checking in and validating merchandise prior to stocking.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; sweep, dust, and mop; and keep the warehouse and work area orderly.
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested by the respective supervisor and/or manager.
• Perform inventory stocking moves systematically to ensure system accuracy.
