About The Position

The Receiving role performs a range of warehouse functions, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials and managing, organizing, consolidating, and retrieving warehouse stock. The position is located in West Chester, Ohio, and is listed as experienced level.

Requirements

• One to two years of warehouse-related experience in shipping and receiving.
• Excellent work ethic and the ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Strictly observe all safety rules.
• Experience operating warehouse machinery such as a sit-down lift, cherry picker, or reach truck.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10–50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 pounds with proper lifting equipment.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• Have close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading trucks and checking in and validating merchandise before stocking.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; sweep, dust, and mop; and keep the warehouse and work area orderly.
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times.
• Perform inventory stocking moves systematically to ensure system accuracy.
• Perform other duties as requested by the respective supervisor and/or manager.
