Receiving Support Associate, Part Time - Short Hills
About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Logistics and Fulfillment Professional supports daily store operations by carrying out merchandise receiving, logistics, and fulfillment functions according to company standards. Responsibilities include preparing and packing merchandise for shipment, fulfilling customer orders, processing new receipts, executing markdowns, and returning goods to vendors. The role requires speed, attention to detail, collaboration, and teamwork to support business results. The position also involves welcoming customers on the selling floor, using technology, and supporting the store during major events. Physical work includes standing and walking for extended periods, occasional reaching, crouching, kneeling, or stooping, frequent use of computers and handheld equipment, and frequently lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourcefulness and initiative; ability to work independently and as part of a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers while on the selling floor.
- Support and administer new receipt processing according to company standards.
- Search for and pick merchandise from the selling floor and stock rooms for all fulfillment types.
- Apply packing policies and techniques to ensure customer packages arrive in excellent condition.
- Participate in logistical initiatives, including returns to vendors (RTVs), CDTs, price changes, damages and salvages, and job outs.
- Use and become proficient with technology.
- Support the store during big-day events.
