Seasonal Receiving Support Associate, Part Time - Sherman Oaks
About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Logistics and Fulfillment Professional supports the daily operation of the store by carrying out merchandise receiving, logistics, and fulfillment functions according to company standards. The role includes preparing and packing merchandise for shipment, fulfilling customer orders, unpacking and censoring new receipts, processing markdowns, and returning goods to vendors. Success requires speed, attention to detail, collaboration, and teamwork to support business results. The position also involves welcoming customers on the selling floor, supporting store events, and using technology to perform job functions. It is seasonal and part-time, based in Sherman Oaks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourceful self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
- May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers while on the selling floor.
- Support and administer new receipt processing according to company standards.
- Search for and pick merchandise from the selling floor and stock rooms for all fulfillment types.
- Learn and apply packing policies and techniques to ensure packages arrive in excellent condition.
- Participate in logistical initiatives, including returns to vendors (RTVs), CDTs, price changes, damages and salvages, and job outs.
- Support the store during big-day events.
- Use technology to perform job functions.
