About The Position

The Receiving Operator coordinates the receipt, transfer, and shipping of materials while servicing manufacturing departments. The role uses power industrial vehicles throughout the shift, including reach trucks, forklifts, and a clamp truck.

Daily work includes receiving deliveries, completing paperwork, unloading trucks, and staging or storing materials within the facility. The operator also responds to requests from the Filling and Milling departments to pull and stage materials for production, maintains a clean and safe workspace and dock area, and completes scheduled cycle counts to help maintain accurate raw-material inventory. Cycle counts use a scan gun and/or tablet, so basic familiarity with computer systems is important.

Requirements

• High school education completed.
• Basic understanding of computer systems.
• Dedication to safety.
• Ability to lift paint cans or cases weighing up to 75 pounds several times throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Candidates without prior forklift experience must be willing and able to complete training and obtain forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous forklift experience.
• Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and complete the appropriate paperwork.
• Unload trucks and stage or store delivered materials within the facility.
• Use reach trucks, forklifts, and a clamp truck to move materials.
• Pull and stage materials for the Filling and Milling departments as needed for production.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and dock area.
• Complete scheduled cycle counts to help maintain accurate raw-material inventory.
• Lift individual paint cans or cases containing four cans, weighing up to 75 pounds, several times throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Starting pay of $19.50 per hour, with a $0.50 per hour increase after six months and another $0.50 per hour increase after one year.
