The Receiving Lead is responsible for receiving and invoicing products, collaborating in the picking process and directing a team. The typical schedule for this role is Tuesday-Friday, 5:00am to 3:00pm, 10 hours a day/shift. This role involves creating, proposing, and executing warehouse operations systems to determine proper product handling, equipment utilization, and shipping. The Receiving Lead will organize, direct, train, and coach the inbound and put away team, and establish, monitor, and manage operation goals ensuring accurate registering, receiving, and put away processes within a timely manner of receipt. This position also manages team metrics such as receiving error rates and receiving efficiency time frames, and reviews and prepares workflow, staffing, and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and standards are met. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with Procurement, Coordinators, and Vendors is crucial to ensure proper goods are received and invoiced timely within the warehouse. The role also involves maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations. Collaboration with other Departments is expected to ensure smooth operations. The Receiving Lead will prepare and present reports on receiving performance, discrepancies, and inventory levels, and investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, including quantity mismatches and mis-shipments. Identifying and escalating recurring inventory issues or vendor problems to management is also a key responsibility.
