About The Position

The Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving product and supporting completion of receiving reports when required. The role maintains receiving-department standards for organization, cleanliness, safe forklift operation, safe product placement, product protection, and cold chain standards. The Receiver also supports club policies, procedures, and compliance while helping provide a safe, positive, and service-oriented environment for members and team members.

This position requires regular, predictable, full attendance and may include performing duties in other departments as needed. The work involves continuously moving around hard surfaces, handling merchandise and paperwork, operating a forklift and pallet jack, and working in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, including occasional freezer and cooler conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to perform the described physical duties, including frequent lifting of objects up to 50 pounds and moving heavier or oversized objects with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT, is valued.

Responsibilities

• Research and annotate receiving reports, including direct-to-club and negative-on-hand reports.
• Process and organize files, receipts, and outbound shipment paperwork.
• Maintain dock security, conduct bag checks, and monitor team-member and visitor access to receiving and secure areas.
• Ensure compactors are locked and secured, used only by authorized personnel, and that product is properly accounted for.
• Safely operate a forklift and receive merchandise accurately according to company processes and policies.
• Store received merchandise according to product specifications.
• Receive Direct Store Delivery (DSD) loads and process DSD credits as needed.
• Process reverse-logistics information and corporate-office-initiated returns.
• Keep the dock organized and clean.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Support club standards for stocked merchandise, promotional plans, accurate signage, and clean, organized spaces.
• Deliver service excellence, address member concerns, and contribute to a safe and positive environment.
• Work collaboratively to achieve team goals and maintain a friendly, positive attitude.
