About The Position

A Receiver/Loader unloads and loads incoming and outgoing trailers by following standard operating procedures, which may include sorting, palletizing, and moving product. This role is based in a distribution center warehouse and may involve operating powered equipment. The position works Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and reports to the DC Supervisor.

The employee is expected to meet minimum performance and accuracy standards and delivery deadlines, maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area, and comply with company policies and standards. Requirements

• Ability to read and write and sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKU information.
• Basic math skills for counting and quantity.
• Ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Basic English literacy for operating machines and completing necessary daily paperwork.
• May need to complete and maintain SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification every three years.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load product according to standard operating procedures.
• Sort, palletize, and move product as required.
• Use an electric power jack to move pallets and/or product as needed.
• Maintain a positive, supportive attitude toward the company, the job, customers, and coworkers.
• Meet minimum standards, accuracy standards, and delivery deadlines.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by adhering to SanMar safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
