About The Position

The Receiver/Loader unloads and loads incoming and outgoing trailers by following standard operating procedures, which may include sorting, palletizing, and moving product. The role is based in a distribution center warehouse and works Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The employee may use an electric power jack to move pallets or product. The work takes place in a hectic, fast-paced warehouse environment with moderate noise, potential exposure to dust and changing weather conditions, and machinery-related hazards. Employees may be exposed to extreme heat or cold, including conditions consistent with outside weather. The role involves operating powered equipment and may require wearing a headset and personal protective equipment, such as a protective harness. Essential days or overtime may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read and write and identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKU information.
Basic math skills, including counting and determining quantities.
Ability to follow directions and adjust priorities or duties as business needs require.
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
Basic English literacy for operating machines and completing necessary daily paperwork.
May need to complete and maintain SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification every three years.

Responsibilities

Unload and load product according to standard operating procedures.
Sort, palletize, and move product as required.
Use an electric power jack to move pallets or product as needed.
Meet minimum performance and accuracy standards and delivery deadlines.
Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by following SanMar safety regulations.
Comply with company policies and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
