About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You unload deliveries, handle equipment and hazardous materials safely, and prepare your work area for daily operations. The role is physical and fast-paced, involves spending most of the shift on your feet, and requires safe lifting practices and attention to detail. Depending on store needs, shifts may be scheduled in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight. You may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude.

Responsibilities may include customer service, unloading and verifying deliveries, stocking and organizing merchandise, operating store equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking, staging, and loading delivery orders and communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction.

The position does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Work may take place indoors or outdoors in varying weather and climate conditions, with possible exposure to noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts or powered equipment as appropriate and with proper training or assistance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
• Follow safe lifting guidelines, limiting individual lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts or powered equipment as appropriate.
• Use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

• Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
• Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
• Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
• Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
• Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, as needed.
• Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
• At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
• At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
• At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
• At Pro Fulfillment Stores, proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
