About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The work includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, involves spending most of the shift on your feet, and may be scheduled for mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight based on store needs. Associates may also help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. You’ll unload freight, move products to the sales floor, maintain organized backrooms and clean workspaces, and may assist customers with locating or loading products. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders, rotating them by delivery date, resolving order issues, and communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow safe lifting guidelines: single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and powered equipment should be used when required with proper training or assistance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.

Responsibilities

Assist customers, answer questions, and offer support during projects while delivering SMART customer service.
Unload freight, down-stock, organize shelves, set up pallets, and stock merchandise.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and support store operations using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Follow proper procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment.
Operate store equipment such as scanners, Zebra phones, and balers.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
