About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, organizing merchandise and top stock, and preparing your work area for daily operations. The role involves unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms, and safely handling equipment and hazardous materials. You may also assist customers with locating or loading products and support teammates as needed.

This is a physical, fast-paced role that involves spending most of the shift on your feet and following safe lifting practices. Schedules may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours based on store needs. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor environments, varying and sometimes extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Single lifts are limited to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional work includes picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders accurately and safely, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness best practices. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
• Follow safe lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; use team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
• Use powered equipment only as required and with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

• Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
• Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
• Bilingual, military, or veteran talent is encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
• Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
• Verify deliveries and complete dock preparation.
• Use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
• Follow procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
• Assist customers in locating or loading products.
• Complete other assigned tasks as a team player.
• At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
• At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
• At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
• At Pro Fulfillment Stores, communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
