As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, safely handling equipment and hazardous materials, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Schedules may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours depending on store needs. Associates may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The role involves unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms and shelves, verifying deliveries, preparing the dock, and keeping the work area safe and clean. Associates may use pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools. In Pro Fulfillment Stores, responsibilities also include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting practices depend on the role, weight, and volume. Single lifts are limited to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.
