As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physically active and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Schedules may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours according to store needs. Associates also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. Occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores, although regular travel is not required. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, varying weather and temperatures, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting practices vary by role, weight, and volume; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required with proper training or help from a trained coworker. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional work includes picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders, rotating them by delivery date, addressing order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices.
