Full Time - Receiver/Stocker - Day
About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with associates spending most of their shifts on their feet and using safe lifting practices and attention to detail. Shifts may take place in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. Associates also help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position supports store operations by unloading and verifying freight, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining shelves and organized backrooms, completing dock preparation, and keeping the workspace clean and safe. Associates may help customers locate or load products. In Pro Fulfillment Stores, duties also include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders, rotating them by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor environments, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- 3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- 6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.

Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Verify deliveries and complete dock preparation to support store operations.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move merchandise.
- Follow safety procedures for hazardous materials and equipment use, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Assist customers in locating or loading products.
- Work with the team to complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders using quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
