About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, verifying deliveries, preparing the dock, and maintaining an organized backroom and safe workspace. You may also assist customers with locating or loading products and support teammates with other assigned tasks.

This is a physical, fast-paced role that involves spending most of the shift on your feet and following safe lifting, equipment-use, hazardous-material, and housekeeping procedures. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor weather, varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Single lifts are limited to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Work schedules may include morning, evening, or overnight hours based on store needs.

In Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include using the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating proactively with customers, and following Delivery Readiness best practices. Regular travel is not required, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support of nearby stores.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
• Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
• Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

• Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
• Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
• Bilingual, military, and veteran talent are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, answer questions, and offer support during projects while delivering SMART customer service.
• Unload freight, down-stock merchandise, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
• Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
• Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, as needed.
• Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
• In Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
• Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
• Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
• Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
