As a Receiver/Stocker, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours depending on store needs. Associates also provide friendly, professional assistance to customers and teammates when needed. The work includes unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, organizing backrooms, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and sometimes helping customers locate or load products. Additional duties in Pro Fulfillment Stores include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders accurately and safely, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Environmental conditions vary by location and may include working indoors and outdoors in extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Associates may encounter constant or intermittent noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary by role, weight, and volume; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, and team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used when required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.
