About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You unload deliveries, handle equipment and hazardous materials safely, and prepare your area for daily operations. The role is physical and fast-paced, requires safe lifting practices and attention to detail, and involves spending most of the shift on your feet. Scheduling may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours based on store needs. You may also help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position includes unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms, and keeping a clean, safe workspace. You may assist customers with locating or loading products. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading and rotating orders, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers, and following Delivery Readiness best practices. The work environment may include indoor and outdoor conditions, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid weather, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting guidelines limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or nearby-store support.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Ability to follow safe lifting practices and applicable procedures for equipment and hazardous materials.
Nice To Haves
- 3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- 6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, or veteran talent is encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player to complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- Proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
- Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
