About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, moving products to the sales floor, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with much of the shift spent on your feet. Work hours may vary by store needs and can include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight shifts. Associates may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. In addition to general store responsibilities, associates at Pro Fulfillment Stores use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders, load orders safely and accurately, rotate orders by delivery date, address customer order issues, communicate proactively with customers, and follow Delivery Readiness practices. The position does not require regular travel, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or to support nearby stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor settings, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow safe lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; use team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating a forklift or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, and veteran talent are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
- Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
