About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, moving products to the sales floor, and maintaining an orderly workspace. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours depending on store needs. You may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. For Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading them safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Work conditions vary by location and may include working indoors and outdoors in extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Associates may encounter constant or intermittent noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting guidelines limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or help from a trained coworker.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or other powered equipment, such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, and veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders using quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and follow Delivery Readiness best practices.
- Assist customers in locating or loading products as needed.
