Full Time - Receiver/Stocker - Day
About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You unload deliveries, move products to the sales floor, prepare pallets, and help maintain an organized backroom. The role may also involve assisting customers with locating or loading products and supporting teammates as needed. This is a physical, fast-paced role that requires safe lifting practices, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures for equipment and hazardous materials. Associates spend most of their shifts on their feet. Work may take place inside and outside in varying weather and climate conditions, and may involve noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Single lifts are limited to 75 pounds under the stated guidelines; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Hours may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight depending on store needs. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support of nearby stores. Additional responsibilities at Pro Fulfillment Stores include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders using the Orders App, safely loading orders, rotating them by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow safe lifting practices and applicable guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds.
- Follow proper procedures for hazardous materials, equipment operation, and housekeeping.
- Use powered equipment with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- 3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- 6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, or veteran experience or background is encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
- Verify deliveries and complete dock preparation.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, as needed.
- Assist customers with locating or loading products when needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
