Full Time - Receiver/Stocker - Day
About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The work includes unloading deliveries, moving products to the sales floor, preparing the dock, and maintaining an organized, safe workspace. You may assist customers with locating or loading products and should provide friendly, professional service to customers and teammates. This is a physical, fast-paced role that involves spending most of the shift on your feet. Work may take place inside or outside and can involve varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow safe lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds, using team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and using powered equipment only with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating proactively with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness best practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders using quality, accuracy, and safe-loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
