About The Position

This Position is in the Countermeasures Directorate (C), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Office of Security Technology (ST), Security Technology Operations (STO), Overseas Support Branch (OSB). This position may require extensive overseas and/or domestic travel. The role requires thorough knowledge and understanding of DS property, including items used and installed by field offices. The specialist will need proficient written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining professional working relationships with a wide variety of government and Prime Contractor staff. Proven ability to directly support overseas logistic positions and overseas logisticians on the use of the Department of States system of record: Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS), the Secure-Integrated Logistics Management system (S-ILMS), Mobile Asset advantage and as directed the use of core CMMS (IBM Maximo) and mobile CMMS is essential. The specialist will assist in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Contract file documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports pertaining to the procurement handling, programing and inventory/accountability of all DS equipment deployed worldwide. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the annual inventory reconciliation of all geographic regions of ST property using the specified logistics management systems.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of all relevant Foreign Affairs Manual and Foreign Affairs Handbook (FAM/FAH) regulations regarding property management.
  • Ability to provide relevant assistance to DS field personnel.
  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Business, or other related areas of study such as Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) certification.
  • Three years’ experience in logistics management.
  • Proficient written/verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of an active Secret clearance.
