About The Position

Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is seeking a service-minded individual to join their team as a Real Estate Clerk I. This full-time position is crucial in helping Members grow financially and maintaining the high-quality service the Credit Union is known for. The Credit Union is a not-for-profit, Member-owned, and locally operated financial institution serving the financial needs of its communities. With 25 locations throughout East Tennessee and serving over 264,000 Members, the Credit Union offers a variety of accounts, competitive loan rates, mortgages, personal loans, and credit cards. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence and use proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to use sound reasoning in order to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to assist member using independent judgment.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications including Word, Excel and email.
  • Proficient typing skills.
  • Ability to operate other business equipment including adding machine, coin and money counting machines and telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Answer the telephone and direct calls accordingly.
  • Distribute emails received by [email protected], online applications and referrals.
  • Distribute daily incoming mail and monitor outgoing mail.
  • Prepare payoff statements within the required time frame of the written request and submit to appropriate party.
  • Post received wires and payoff checks and copy for deposit.
  • Monitor fax folder.
  • Complete flood reporting on paid-off loans.
  • Prepare and send releases for recording in appropriate county.
  • Send copy of release to imaging and mail original to member.
  • Review homeowner’s insurance policies for accuracy on all non-escrow accounts.
  • Send non-escrowed homeowner’s policies to Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) daily.
  • Prepare Real Estate Lending packets for the branches.
  • Create daily call log.
  • Balance daily branch totals.
  • Pay appraisals daily and upload receipt to Image Flow Loan Origination System (LOS).
  • Review mobile home titles bi-annually for paid-off loans.
  • Review matured Home Equity Line of Credits (HELOCs) and assign to loan officers, as needed.
  • Confirm LOS data entry of Recorded Trust Deeds.
  • Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including but not limited to appearance, behavior and performance).
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • All other duties as assigned.
