Requirements

  • 3-6 years of law firm experience in acquisitions and dispositions, construction and permanent financings representing lenders and borrowers, joint ventures.
  • Experience with portfolio transactions, REITs and real estate funds.
  • Experience in equity joint venture investments, structuring, and entity formation.
  • Familiarity with transactions involving all principal asset types – residential, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, and land.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to attentively listen, actively engage, and concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form.
  • Strong work ethic, team orientation, and an interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility on client matters.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Admitted to the New York state bar or eligible to waive in.

  • Provide innovative and practical legal advice to a broad range of real estate industry participants in all types of real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, financing, ownership, leasing, and operation.
  • Take ownership of careers and advance at the firm.
  • Engage in mentoring and sponsorship programs.
  • Participate in career visioning, crafting communication materials, executive presence resources, interview techniques, and networking skills.
  • Assist with identifying pro bono organizations and matters to work with.
