About The Position

Reading Corps is hiring a Reading Tutor to support students at a local school in the San Juan Unified area of Sacramento. Reduced part-time positions of 20 hours per week may also be available. AmeriCorps members have a total service-hour commitment for the program year; most hours are completed at the service site, with occasional approved service or training outside the school day as needed. AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck every two weeks, with compensation equivalent to $20.04 per hour served. Additional benefits include a member assistance program and education benefits, including up to $1,956.35 for college tuition or student loans, federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment, and time accrual toward Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
