About The Position

The Hayes Company is seeking a motivated installer with proven carpentry and/or handyman skills to join its installation team. More than half of the work involves installing insulation, alongside specialized door, window, and trim installation and occasional drywall work. The role suits someone with hands-on construction experience who enjoys varied daily tasks, including working in attics and crawl spaces as well as performing detailed carpentry.

The installer must be able to work independently, solve problems, and complete projects on time and to a high standard. Reliability and strong attendance are emphasized. The work takes place in existing homes that may need restoration, renovation, updating, or repairs.

Requirements

• Preferred: 2 years of experience installing doors and windows, including sealing and trim work, and/or handyman or maintenance work.
• Prior experience in carpentry, remodeling, or construction.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined or elevated areas.
• Comfort working in existing homes that may need restoration, renovation, updating, or repairs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks daily.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation materials in attics, walls, crawl spaces, and other assigned areas.
• Install, replace, and weatherize doors and windows, including sealing, caulking, and trim work.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently; cut, measure, and fit insulation, trim, and framing precisely.
• Install and repair drywall to an excellent standard.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Complete jobs with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and company vehicle.
